Android has never been well known for having the most user-friendly settings options. Google has rolled out the first developer preview of Android O, the next version of its Android operating system. With Google’s new OS, users be able to customize ringtones, alarm, and notification settings from the phone itself with files that have been downloaded from the web, email, or a cloud storage service.
The new OS is still in early stages and has been made available in the form of first developer preview for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel C, Pixel XL and Pixel smartphones. With Android O, Google has included additional automatic limits on what apps do in the background. The limits have been put in three areas namely the implicit broadcasts, background services, and location updates.
The Picture-in-picture or PiP mode will aswell allow users to browse content, watch videos or do anything else in the background while watching a video or video chatting through a small box inside the smartphone or tablet’s screen. Users will also be able to set the aspect ratio and custom interactions for the PiP.
