Higher 5G Internet Speeds Coming To 11 Cities

5G technology innovation is rapidly evolving. The wireless connectivity within the IoT may be receiving a boost in speed as soon as new efforts launch to implement and leverage 5G connectivity.

As the network density is increases to meet the demands of customers, the time is right to deliver the next generation of broadband services with the higher internet speed reports The media post. The New 5G-networks are expected to provide speeds at least 10 times and maybe 100 times faster than today’s 4G networks.

Verizon on the other hand is the latest newcomer to bringing 5G to the world.

The New York-based firm plans to offer the service in 11 US cities this April, all while gauging user experiences and evaluating the technology’s performance. Verizon is collaborating with Ericsson and Samsung in the U.S. to roll out higher internet speed connectivity to pilot customers in 11 states within the first half of this year.

The faster speeds of these networks are expected to enable real-time wireless communications between Internet-connected devices and ultimately expand the Internet of Things with new capabilities.

“The 5G systems we are deploying will soon provide wireless broadband service to homes, enabling customers to experience cost-competitive, gigabit speeds that were previously only deliverable via fiber,” stated Woojune Kim, vice president of the Next Generation Business Team at Samsung Electronics.
